BB Summer Days! Virtual

VIRTUAL CAMPER EVENTS As we move into the summer, we want to ensure all of our campers are able to connect with each other virtually! We will soon be starting a new round of online camper get-togethers and more!
FOR 10th GRADE ONLY
Each summer at Camp, LIT’s take part in a Teen Philanthropy program. This is a program where campers learn about the importance of giving philanthropically through a Jewish lens. They work to develop a teen foundation by choosing values and mission statements that they utilize to review requests for grants, learn about local organizations requesting funds and work together to choose where they want to give. The campers get requests from non-profits in Lincoln County and in the Portland area about initiatives that they are creating to help their respective communities.  The teens will conduct virtual “site visits” where they will ask the staff questions in order to determine which organization aligns the closest with their groups values.

Teen Philanthropy will take place Monday-Thursday for two weeks starting Monday July, 20th  for an hour and a half. Campers will need access to a computer or phone with internet access in order to participate, please let us know if this is not possible for your teen and we will help them find a way to participate! This program is designed for campers to develop leadership skills, an understanding of philanthropy, give them a chance to do community service and to connect with others through learning. In the registration form, we are asking what times work best for teens so that we can maximize participation.  Please have your teen fill out this form to sign up!

BB Camp Staff Reunions on Zoom

For nearly a century, we’ve provided campers with opportunities to connect with the outdoors🌲, Judaism ✡️, and each other👩🏼‍🤝‍👨🏽, living our motto of Building Friendships for Life!  Many of you have told us that while memories from your time as a camper are fantastic,  summers spent on staff are what made the most profound impact.  But at some point, life got busy and full of “Adulting” and many lost touch, therefore, inspired by our anniversary, we want to bring everyone back together to reconnect, reminisce, and laugh!
