Guiding Elements of OJA in Israel
- BB Camp’s Core Jewish Values
- Diversity and Culture
- Israel Education
- BB Camp Spirit!
OJA in Israel is organized to follow a chronological timeline of the Jewish people. Beginning the trip in the Negev desert of Israel and ending in Tel Aviv with many stops along the way!
BB Camp leadership will be in daily communication with BB Camp’s OJA trip staff and JCC Maccabi Israel Trip organizers. BB Camp will send weekly parent communication with trip highlights and updates.
If traveling abroad becomes challenging due to COVID-19, no problem! BB Camp is committed to creating innovative programs. If necessary, we will pivot to a more traditional OJA in the Pacific Northwest. Either way, we will provide an incredibly meaningful experience for your children this summer. Please click here to see BB Camp’s general COVID-19 protocols. Please keep in mind that COVID-19 mitigating protocols stated in the FAQ will be adapted to fit an Israel travel trip and current state protocols. Families will be updated with any changes as they arise.
We will update families when we have the 2022 OJA in Israel packing list.
There will be 5 staff members on the trip:
- 2 Experienced Camp Counselors
- 1 Israeli Youth Counselor
- 1 Ministry of Tourism Licensed Guide and Educator
- 1 Security Guard
