OVERNIGHT CAMP GRANTS AND FINANCIAL AID
Grants and Financial Assistance
Grants (only one grant per session allowed)
B’nai B’rith Men’s Camp Association, Foundation for Jewish Camp, and Jewish Federation have generously provided Grants so that as many kids as possible can benefit from a rich Jewish camp experience. These grants are available to all first-time Jewish campers regardless of financial need.

To qualify:
- First time Jewish camper
- Entering 2nd-5th grade in the fall
- Registered for B’nai B’rith Camp’s Maccabee Session (one-week session)

Grant: $1,500 for 19+ days of camp & $1,000 for 12- 18 days of camp
To qualify:
- First-time BB Campers
- Campers or at least one parent must identify as Israeli and have Israeli citizenship
- Campers must live year-round in California, Oregon, or Washington state
- The Israeli-American Incentive grant cannot be combined with One Happy Camper
- Multiple children in the same family may receive the grant

Operation Summer Camp| 2-4 week Grant (Rising 5th-8th grade)
Grant: Camp Tuition in Full & Transportation to/from Camp
To qualify:
- Jewish Camper
- Enrolling in a 12-day or longer session at BB Camp
- Entering 5th-8th grade in the fall, , though consideration can be given to those slightly older or younger in unique circumstances and with approval from the funder
- At least one parent must serve on active duty in the U.S. armed forces or have been honorably discharged within the last three years (documentation required); children of full-time National Guard (at time of application), of a Purple Heart Awardee, or a Gold Star Parent are also eligible for camp scholarship (documentation required, as applicable)
- The grant can be renewed for as many years as the child is eligible to attend Camp, for up to three summers
- There is no limit to the number of children in a family who can participate, and support for siblings is encouraged
- Campers are eligible regardless of Geography (where the child currently resides)

- Portland Metro Area Campers who attended Overnight Camp for at least 12 days in 2022 for the first time.

- Entering 3rd-8th grade in the fall
- Registered for B’nai B’rith Camp’s 2 week Session

To qualify:
- Jewish Camper
- Enrolling in a 19-day or longer session for the first time (still qualify if attended an 11-day or less session in the past)
- Entering 3rd-11th grade in the fall
- Registered for B’nai B’rith Camp’s 3-4 week session
- Cannot be combined with PJ Goes to Camp Grant

Need-Based Financial Aid
We try to accommodate all those in need of financial assistance. Please complete the online Camp registration form and submit your deposit for summer camp. The deposit is refundable if the camper is unable to attend Camp for financial reasons. Cancellations must be made in writing to the Camp Office within 14 days of receiving notification of the financial award. After enrollment is confirmed, a Financial Aid Application and instructions will be available on your CampInTouch account. Please contact Chanel Bourdeau at cbourdeau@bbcamp.org for questions.
Local Opportunities:
Jewish Federation of Lane County Camp Scholarships – Scholarships are available to Lane County (OR) residents for any and all Jewish sleep away summer camps, Israel programs, and youth conferences that have Jewish content.
Jewish Free Loan of Greater Portland – Provides no-interest loans for 36 months to residents of Oregon and SW Washington.
Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle Scholarships – The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle supports children’s formative Jewish experiences by awarding scholarships, which lower financial barriers to participating in programs that strengthen Jewish identity and give kids a strong start on their Jewish journeys.
Oregon Jewish Community Foundation Scholarships – OJCF is pleased to offer scholarships for the pursuit of formal education and Jewish overnight camps. To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must be Jewish residents of Oregon and demonstrate financial need. Applications are accepted from January 15 – March 15.
